Story behind the song
After inventing a sequence line with synth, we recognized that it had a human quality in that it seemed to be saying something, albeit in a bit of a robotic manner. After adding the human vocals to it that seemed to be suggested by the synth, it all came together. Jeff added all kinds of zing with exotic drums and solid beats, in just the right places, pulling the guitar and synth figures into line with that vocal chant. He also added the vocals to the chorus sections, while Phil added the subtle undervocals to the synth formants.
