Story behind the song
I know a lot of people (and I was one of them) who are willing to try anything and everything BUT Christianity. They are willing to invest time and money on books, CD's, whatever...time reading and listening to different ideals or theories (Buddhism and New Age-ism is very "in" right now...). Forever is a very long time. I think asking the question, "am I SURE of what happens when I die and where I will be going?" is a very serious question that we all should ask, and it's DEFINITELY WORTH looking into all the different possibilities...but it is very interesting to me why Christianity is just shunned, whereas all the other religions are ok to check-out...hmmmm. Is there perhaps an enemy that's working to shield people from the Truth? Or maybe as humans, created by God FOR God with Free Will in place, our ultimate rebelliousness just refuses Truth but allows alternatives. Why not give Christianity a try? Many, many, MANY scholarly skeptics have...and found that Jesus IS the way, the truth, and the life. And if people were to really look at the REAL Christian community, not just the unfortunate hypocrits or crazy news-makers out there, I know they would see an earnest group of Christ-Followers making the changes, loving the people, and living the differences that Jesus calls them to.
