Comments by Jamie Bell: This song is all about being in a relationship that's doing nothing but destroying both of you inside, but you care so much about the other person to let go. A friend of mine who was in the very same sort of relationship was sort of the half-inspiration for this song, but I don't think he knows it. If he didn't, he does now.
