Katelyn Dawn, who was one of the top 4 girls on Canadian Idol last year is also an accomplished singer/songwriter. Recently signed by MCJB Management, Katelyn'
Although Katelyn Dawn hails from a small town, her ambitions guided her towards the big city. Armed with courage, talent and determination, she made the trek to Toronto as a 19-year-old woman from Manitoba with a guitar, a collection of original songs, and a temperamental Dodge Caravan lovingly nicknamed the âœdeathmobileâ. At 20 she is moving forward with her music career with a new EP after having spent a year exploring the road towards independence. Though there have been many roadblocks heartbreak and hardships, Katelyn has never taken her eye off of that final destination, which is to bring an honest heartfelt message to all you amazing fans through catchy melodies and thought provoking lyrics. Says Katelyn: âœI really just want to be able to create music that I am proud of, and that other people can relate to. Being on stage and having an audience feel my songs along with me is the biggest high I could imagine, after all, music is the only thing that connects strangers on such an intimate level.â With a new EP on the horizon, a Discovery Channel Showcase, and a top 4 girls spot from Canadian Idol under her belt, Katelyn Dawn has never been in such an exciting position! Her career is about to take flight and the possibilities are endless!

Lyrics
Oxymoron Katelyn Dawn & Chris Burke-Gaffney Hey you are a gentleman a nasty kind of compliment You opened up Pandoras box and opened up a paradox Oh you gave it back but oh you want it back and Oh your hot for me but oh so cold to see A bittersweet possession date I came to find you awake You want it, you got it, you cant hold onto it (Chorus) Like an oxymoron I hate you but I love you An oxymoron dont want you but I do Could you ever be so wrong? Oh an oxymoron We had a clear misunderstanding of this tragic comedy Civil wars exhausting to be the only enemy Fall surrender it but then you resisted To the pleasure of my tempting poison kiss A constant recollection of forgetting everything I want it I had it I cant hold onto it (Chorus) (Bridge) Youre bittersweet and you never please Youre awfully badly good for me You want it, I got it, I cant hold onto it (Chorus)
