Lyrics
First Verse
I went down to the potter's house to watch him work one day
And I saw how from the lumps of clay beautiful things he'd make
Some were big, some were small, some were short and some were tall
But each piece had a purpose for which it was made
Chorus
The potter's wheel went round and round
The potter's hands on the clay were found
In his mind he'd already seen what it was gonna be
The clay conformed to the master plan
In the loving care of the potter's hands
Purpose was revealed on the potter's wheel
Second Verse
God is like that potter, He is working on us all
To conform us to the image of the One who hung on a cross
No matter how long it takes, He'll keep working night and day
To add the final touches to each one of us
Second Chorus
The Potter's wheel goes round and round
The Potter's Hands on the clay are found
In His mind He already sees what we’re gonna be
The clay conforms to the Master Plan
In the loving care of the Potter's Hands
Purpose is revealed on the Potter's wheel
Bridge
Now if the clay fails to take the shape the Potter meant
He does not throw it away, He just starts again
Repeat Second Chorus
