It's a song about everything I've been in my life and the awesome grace and mercy of Jesus.

Without Him my hope was like vacuum in space
My life was a mess, I was losing the race
The worst thing about it was I didn't know
I thought I was running a tight little show
Been a drinker, a druger, a liar a thief
Played doctor, and lawyer and even a chief
The past it don't matter now what I have done
Because God so loved me, He sent me His son
But then one day I hit bottom so bad
I woke up and realized just what I had
It amounted to nothin 'cause I was nowhere
And I was left drowning in my own despair
But Jesus, He put me back up on my feet
Pointed me back where He knew I should be
He guided my feet and He leveled my road
He loved me in spite of the debt that I owed
I still to this day have not figured out why
He loves me so much in spite of those times
When I was a poor excuse for a soul
His love and forgiveness they're what made me whole
