Story behind the song
TVM is The Vile Maxim. Written in 2007 about the inequality and social injustice created in the last thirty years. Unsurprisingly, even after the revelations of the last few years, the few are still taking the p*ss. The break in the song includes an extract from a speech entitled 'Class War: The Attack on Working people' by Noam Chomsky (available from www.akpress.org) whom I thank for permission for the use of- Mr Chomsky borrowed the phrase "vile maxim of the masters of mankind" from Adam Smith.
Lyrics
