Country up-tempo

This is about a gal lost in a daydream of sorts, thinking about just what would she do if a windfall should come her way.

Well, he was suckin’ out all the good air
Stiflin’ my creative flair
Tells me I can’t do that, I can’t do this
I was getting ’ too bored to even care
Heard a question from a PBS scholar
Didn’t take long for me to ponder
In a matter of minutes, I had my list
What would I do with a million dollars?
I’d Put My Foot Down
Leave town….
With brand-name clothes, and lots of high heels
Two cosmetic deals, that aren’t quite real
With a laptop and a sparkling white smile
Google a map, head west for awhile
Atlanta to Tennessee….
My Manolos on the peddle…wonderin’ why I settled
Turn my rear view ‘round
Put My Foot Down
Wouldn’t look back ‘til the dust had cleared
I’d see him on the porch, drownin’ in his own tears
Yellin’ Please come back, I promise I’ll change
He’d still be there ‘bout this time next year
I’d Put My Foot Down
Leave town….
With brand-name clothes, and lots of high heels
Two cosmetic deals, that aren’t quite real
With a laptop and a sparkling white smile
Google a map, head west awhile
Atlanta to Tennessee…
My Manolos on the peddle…wonderin’ why I settled
Turn my rear view ‘round
Put My Foot Down
Bridge:
He wouldn’t know what hit him
I’d hope he has a nice life, but I’m gonna forget him
When I finally make my own way in that country tinsel town
If I ever met another guy like him……
I’ll Put My Foot Down
Leave town…
With brand-name clothes, and lots of high heels
Two cosmetic deals, that aren’t quite real
With a laptop and a sparkling white smile
Google a map, head west awhile
There’s a lot of this world to see
My Manolos on the peddle…no, this gal won’t settle
Turn my rear view ‘round
Put My Foot Down
