Think fairgrounds in the summer with the temps hovering around 90 or so. It sounds better that way.

Story behind the song
" 'Dandelion Wine' was a 1957 semi-autobiographical novel by Ray Bradbury, taking place in the summer of 1928 in the fictional town of Green Town, Illinois — a pseudonym for Bradbury's childhood home of Waukegan, Illinois. The title refers to a wine made with dandelion petals and other ingredients, commonly citrus fruit. In the story, dandelion wine, as made by the protagonist's grandfather, serves as a metaphor for packing all of the joys of summer into a single bottle." .... such was the summer of '71, when the hobo band "Dandelion Wine" played for the people in line at Rocky Point Park...
Lyrics
Dandelion Wine (to the memory of Rocky Point Park and the Hobo Band “Dandelion Wine”) Words and music (c) 2007 Don Tassone I woke up this morning to a morning song I woke up this morning and the day was gone So many summers turn quickly to Fall We held you in our youth We thought we had it all From the midway lines to the shore dinner hall The riders got wet from the flume ride fall We played and got paid each day till nightfall Each ride had a sign “You must be this tall” And the dandelion wine never tasted so sweet As we wandered through the park Being swallowed by the heat One traveled north One traveled west Now the cars have gone silent Alone and at rest It was 1971, four dead in Ohio I was fresh out of school with no place else to go So my friends and myself We ended up here On the midway of our dreams The carnival of years Some people aren’t burdened with sentimentality They leave the past behind Choose instead to live the day But the date with destiny at the end of the wreaking ball brought back a flood of memories That refuse to go away And the dandelion wine never tasted so sweet As we wandered through the park Being swallowed by the heat One traveled north One traveled west Now the cars have gone silent Alone and at rest
