Uptempo Country Rock Janice Hopkins/Pete Gellatin/Moker Jarrett Story about a guys lucky life. Demo by A1A Audio Productions.
Jan and Pete came to me with a great lyric and I came up with some tempo music that wll hopefully make this great little story a great cut for some Lucky artist!! The story itself is so positive how a gamblin', boozin' guy was saved by a great gal, and then they got twins, and he's feelin' Lucky now !!
SOMETIMES YOU GET LUCKY
(c)2008 Hopkins/Gallatin/Jarrett
I've rolled 'em, chose to hold 'em
In the lost years of my life
I bet on long shots; got real hot
Blew it in the blink of an eye.....
Got caught red-handed in a cheating game
Hit rock bottom...came back again
Been a loser, a hard boozer
Then one day that all changed
Sometimes you get lucky, one hit was enough
When she walked into the room, the Queen of Hearts turned up
When she smiled my losing hand turned into a full house
Sometimes you get lucky, feeling lucky now
She staked me, she made me
Into the man I am today
Could'a bowled me, when she told me
We were dealing in the family way
I saw a boy jumping mud puddles
She saw a little girl, lovin' her up with cuddles
One dream must wait, up to fate
Then the doc said, Hey you've rolled doubles
Sometimes you get lucky, one roll was enough
When I walked into the room the Queen of Hearts turned up
Two little smiles turned my life into a full house
Sometimes you get lucky, feeling lucky now
Inst. Bridge:
Sometimes you get lucky, just can't get enough
When she walked into the room the Queen of Hearts turned up
When she smiled my losing hand turned to a full house
Sometimes you get lucky, feeling lucky now
Sometimes you get lucky, feeling lucky now
Sometimes you get lucky, feeling lucky now
