In this song the nightingale is singing it's lungs out no matter what. This song is about freedom of speech, identity, potential and feeling taken for granted. The singer asks the bird to inspire the courage to expose his/her opinions.

Story behind the song
I haven't always been a brave person, but this album is called 'Face on' for a reason. Partially because of the reasons in the song description for Nightingale. But always I wanted to be brave enough to say what I thought whatever. I felt I was taking the world Face-on by doing so. Expressing myself, I was Face-on into the wind of critisism, I realised freedom of speech is something I have always believed in for other people but not always given myself. I've started to become the Nightingale. Bring it OOWwwn!! lol.
Lyrics
Nightingale, Nightingale singing on the wire,
Who can I, Who can you Who can we inspire
All the answers all the questions, sting my tired eyes
All the people who you pease, don't know who you are
Nightingale, Nightingale
Nightingale Nightingale, sing a song for me
Do you see me do you like me. Have you sympathy
I'm just a child without a vision, full of fear and indecision
If there's a lesson you can teach me, sing it just for me
Nightingale, Nightingale
Is it the love song of the roses. Is it the free song of the birds. Is it life that still composes something we all are.
If I just knew, knew how to, spend my life the way that you do - oo. I would never feel so shattered, i would reach as far as you do, Nightingale, Nightingale.
