Story behind the song
While written in RandyTab for a seven string guitar, and then transposed to a six using a six string tuned down a fifth using heavy flatwound strings, the remake heard here uses an actual 7-string, and captures the actual vibe I was going for at the time.
Darkness was one of the last three dark and moody tracks that ends out Monochrome. It's sort of like creeping around in the dark with a heavy case of depression, and not caring weather you impale yourself on something sharp and deadly. While it might sound Emo now, it made sense at the time for deeply personal reasons.
