Story behind the song
The song is a reflection on many of the ways that I used to think would make me free. Having a drink, escaping in a stupor to TV land, casual relationships., etc... The problem was that whilst such things filled a void they left me emptier than I had been before. By the grace of God the love of Jesus Christ has changed all that and I have a new sense of freedom that doesn't leave a bad taste afterwards!
