Quirky, slightly discordant guitar and quirky, slightly unhinged vocal. A bit stoney, if you'll pardon the pun.

The guitar part was a complete accident, just goofing. It felt askew, and askew with regard to the way the world supposedly works. The lyric wouldn't come and wouldn't come, then came just about all at once, stuck in traffic in the Livermore Valley of all places.
There's whisky in my coffee cup
There's whisky in my coffee cup
The coffee must be nervous
I thought it had quit drinking
I don't understand the moon
It's not made of milk at all.
It's a rock that hangs in the sky
like rocks don't.
There's ashes in my coffee cup
There's ashes in my coffee cup
The whisky must be nervous
I thought it had quit smoking
But who am I to judge?
I live on a rock that hangs in the sky
like rocks don't.
There's coffee in my coffee cup
There's coffee in my coffee cup
It must be getting sober
But who am I to judge?
I live on a rock that hangs in the sky
like rocks don't.
