Story behind the song
While living in the dorms early on in college, I participated in a gift exchange game called Secret Santa. Basically, the random name you draw from the cup is who you would buy and secrtly leave a gift for. At the end of the week the last gift exchange occurs by exposing each individual responsible for leaving gifts for each other.
On top of a live performnce of the song I gave her the lyrics to this song on a pretty cool looking simulated aged scroll that I creatively put together. Includes burning the edges of the paper and the lyrics hand printed using a textured caligraphy font format. I also stain aged the paper by baking it in an oven to dry after stroking it with wet tea bags.
Totally overboard, but it was way cool!
