Story behind the song
Well I was asked by my bro Bloody to write a little article about my new solo track Skunk College. Well this track is probably the deepest track I have ever written. It’s basically the 3 verses directed towards 3 different groups of people in the music world. First verse is ultimately about the hatas who hate just because I wear make up or flow about unreal shit, either behind my back or to my face (mostly behind the back). Yet they’re just simply local musicians as am I. The second verse is about the higher-up scum in the music business. I make a comment about how “I don’t give a Fuck if I never win a grammy”. I say this because I feel the only people winning grammys are people who big time producers or head record executives push through the mainstream scene. I feel as if it’s set up and the real talent in music never gets it’s recognition. The 3rd verse (my personal favorite) goes out to anyone who makes music of any kind. The music business is one of the hardest scenes to make a name for yourself and most music nowadays is fueled by alot of hate. This is fine but lately I notice a lot of bands hating on other bands just because they don’t like the music. I think this is bullshit when some hates on you who’s trying to do the same thing you are. Words can’t describe how foolish that shit is. I don’t like country but I have respect for musicians so I don’t hate. I just think nowadays people are so into the hardcore persona that they hate for no reason.
