The old store sits on Lindsey Lane
About all that's left is just the faded name
But the memories in my mind
Never have faded after all this time
It's the old old store
People come and visit no more
It was a nice ole place
You came to love it like a friendly face
Oh yeah oh yeah
The ice cream man came down our street
Every afternoon we'd have the meet
All us little kids would spend our dimes
We always got the same ones everytime
He was a nice ole man
Now he holds a cane in his hand
Many years have gone
Since the little truck would play its song
Oh yeah oh yeah
A little creek ran through the woods
It was far removed from the neighborhood
Over there I could be a king
Or build a castle with anything
It was a lovely place
It disappeared without a trace
People everyday
Rush about madly where I played
Oh yeah oh yeah
