Story behind the song
This song started out as a letter to God. It became a song after I realized that many people must feel the same way I was feeling at the time. I It asks God for clarification on the result of a particular relationship. Too often we fall in love with the idea of love rather than the reality. We love the fantasy more than we love the reality. The song takes it's unique form by shifting in perspective from a letter to God to the person he was in "love" with and then back again in the bridge.
