Story behind the song
When speaking to my friend, Jacelen, she was having trouble getting to sleep, and she wasn't feeling very great emotionally, and so I played this song for her, to help her drift away. The lead was added on in post-production.
Lyrics
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take. God made the world, so broad and grand, filled with blessings from his hand. He made the sky, so high and blue, and all the little children, too. Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. If I should die before I wake, I pray the Lord my soul to take.
