Story behind the song
I had just watched a couple of different shows about addiction - one was a documentary called "Black Tar Heroin" and the other was a re-run of Touched by an Angel. In Touched by an Angel, Monica was telling the addict that her spirit was still alive and that all she had to do was believe that God could take over her situation and trust Him to help her through her recovery. I was so moved by the two shows, that this song was born in response to them.
