Contemporary gospel with five-part harmony chorus.
The Holy Spirit gave me this song while I was waiting for my best friend outside Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles. What is really exciting is that the sketch matches the final version both musically and in the lyrics. That's how I know God gave me this song. I just wrote down the thought; He gave it to me. To God be the glory.
The King will come
The time is near
Make straight your path
Before He appears
The King will come
He's drawing nigh
Lift up your heads O ye gates
It's time to watch the sky
Look to the sky!
And we will sing our praises to the King
Shout hallelujah to the Master of ev'rything
Glory and honor to Your name we long to bring
Forever and ever in Your presence worshiping
He's coming fast
He's coming soon
Prepare the bride
To meet her groom
He's coming back
To take us home
To live forever with Him
Who's seated on the throne
On His throne!
And we will sing our praises to the King
Shout hallelujah to the Master of ev'rything
Glory and honor to Your name we long to bring
Forever and ever in Your presence worshiping
Where shall we bring our praises to the King
Shout hallelujah to the Master of ev'rything
Glory and honor to Your name we hope to bring
Forever and ever in Your presence worshiping
There we will bring our praises to our King
Lift up our voices on the way rejoicing
Glory and honor to Your name we shall bring
Forever and ever in Your presence worshiping
Forever and ever in Your presence worshiping
Forever joy unending, no more suffering
Forever and ever in Your presence worshiping
