Story behind the song
Los Angeles is the city of dreamers. I have met so many people who have come here seeking fame and fortune, to become a pop star, to become a movie star, to write the perfect screenplay, to become a record producer. And while there are a few dreamers whose hopes far exceed their talent, it seems to me that most of the people seeking success in L.A. are truly passionate and truly talented. Through spending time in the L.A. music scene, I have heard hundreds of great songs, seen many great singers and performers, all of whom know deep down that they have something important to share with other people. They know beyond a shadow of doubt that their purpose in life is to pursue their goal, to dedicate their lives to their passion. Like them, I know that my purpose in life is to write music, and to somehow share my music with as many people as possible. But, obviously, there are so few opportunities for so many people. The sad reality is that most of us will never be able to attain our life's dream. And what then?... There's nothing else that I want to do. Ain't life unfair...
