Sunset Moon
Went down to Key West
To see the sunset
Walked along the sand
And got my feet wet
Summer breeze blowing
Through my hair
Pretty girl walking by
I had to stare
She saw me looking
And threw me a smile
I had a reason
To be on this isle
Mai Tais on ice
Wait for me
Island veranda
Overlooks the sea
Sunset moon
Came out at noon
It won't seem right
Without the night
This old mind
Is so unkind
To wake at noon
And see the sunset moon
Put on a clean shirt
Went back to the beach
Hoping that I'd find
My Florida peach
Moon beams in my eyes
Clouded my brain
Came home that night
With a girl named Wayne
Woke up the next day
Feeling like crap
Then I realized
There was a big gap
Three days had passed
I was alone
No sign of Wayne
My peach had flown
Sunset moon
Came out at noon
It won't seem right
Without the night
This old mind
Is so unkind
To wake at noon
And see the sunset moon
