This song was a tribute to Bob Calvert.
A dedicated poet and a superb performer, very sadly missed.
The overall sound of Steppenwolf for me conjures up those cold, dark, crystal clear, winter evenings where you can see deep into the night sky. A sight I beheld many times whilst trying to find my way home after all those Hawkwind concerts :))))
