Story behind the song
When visiting Maui, I went out looking for some pictures to take of the wildlife of that island. My island guidebook mentioned the Ae`o bird (Hawaiian Stilt) as a rare and endangered species. Well, as luck would have it, I literally stumbled across a pack of these characters jumping and playing(?) in a small pool of water. The tuxedo-garbed group looked like ALL the Marx Brothers together, but I think there were actually lookin' for food. Well, maybe. Anyway, the song was written with them in mind. Tuning: Keola's C/C Wahine (CGDGBE)
