Folky minor tune about a guy who conquers fate. Reminds me vaguely of the music at the beginning of Kill Bill... Really neat effect on the guitar, i love my pod!
pop rock acoustic blues melody moody
Eclectic, but mostly acoustic. Mostly moody, guitar-driven, alternative pop-rock
Let's face it folks. I'm not going to be updating this much. My primary focus right now is my band Djatmaterra, and I won't be recording much new for my own site. However, you can find our songs at and These sources will likely be updated quite a bit more often. Thanks for listening! --- I'll try to keep the mix of tracks on here eclectic. I've dabbled in a bunch of different styles over the years, and i think my songwriting reflects that. So here are a bunch of tracks written and recorded at various times in my music carreer. Enjoy.

Story behind the song
This one came right out of left field, but somehow it managed to come together quite nicely. It started out with the chord progression, and then the melody for the verse. And then with "high atop the battlement" it became thematic, and i created a little story around it. Over the next few hours it evolved rather organically and turned into a pretty neat song.
Lyrics
high atop the battlement, he gazed high atop the battlement, i say when from the west on a wind of death she came to high atop the battlement laid claim on a midsummer morning with no cover and no warning what was he to do? he stood tall and bravely 'gainst the coming of the banshee preordained to lose calling on the strength of gods, he feigned calling on the strength of gods, i say as in her eyes the fire of triumph blazed calling on the strength of gods, he raged in a clash swift and searing a hundred feet o'er the plain appearing for an instant, a brilliant ray and the diamond light blinded the wild eyes of his opponent their fire, waning, staid from high atop the battlement she strayed high atop the battlement, i say down to hell from the sky, she fell that day he high atop the battlement remained and he looked to the horizon saw the new sun rising and cast his doubts away ever after that morning with no cover and no warning the master of his fate
