Lyrics
*(Intro)* Hey Tony give me that Medley beat Time to expose the Conservative Republican deceit Yo, the world keeps turning, but some stay still, Clinging to a vision, imposing their will. Traditions their anthem, progress they deny, Lets break it down and ask them why. *(Verse 1)* They say, Stick to the script, dont rewrite the page, But the worlds on fire, trapped in their cage. They call it values, but its chains in disguise, Blocking evolution while the future cries. They fought against rights, civil or queer, Feared every movement, weaponized fear. Protecting the elite while the working class breaks, Profit for the few, built on our mistakes. From suffrage to freedom, the same old song, Preserve what we know, even when its wrong. Divide us by race, keep the people apart, Distract from the truth, its a sinister art. *(Chorus)* Stuck in the past, they cant let go, Blocking the future, afraid to grow. Traditions their banner, but the cracks are wide, The world moves forward, they cant stop the tide. We rise, we fight, we pave the way, While they hold onto a yesterday. *(Verse 2)* They dress up oppression, call it the norm, Say theyre saving the world, but they fuel the storm. Family values is their coded phrase, While denying love in so many ways. They shout freedom, but only for a few, Keeping the old while rejecting the new. Progress is a threat, equalitys a fight, They fear losing power, so they dim the light. They profit off pain, keep the masses in line, While the rich get richer, sipping on wine. Race is their weapon, a wedge they drive, Keeping us divided so their greed can thrive. *(Chorus)* Stuck in the past, they cant let go, Blocking the future, afraid to grow. Traditions their banner, but the cracks are wide, The world moves forward, they cant stop the tide. We rise, we fight, we pave the way, While they hold onto a yesterday. *(Bridge)* Progress is a river, breaking through stone, Its justice, its love, a truth weve known. But they cling to a system thats rotting inside, Afraid of the power that people provide. The futures not scary; its bright and free, Its a world where we live in true equality. But theyd rather preserve than admit the sin, Fighting change because theyre scared to begin. *(Outro)* Yo, the choice is clear, the path is set, We move forward, no room for regret. Traditions a foundation, but its not the walls, Were building a future where no one falls. Stuck in the past? Nah, we break the chains, Riding the storm, dancing in the rains. Progress is here, its knocking the door, And we aint turning back, not anymore. *(Chorus Repeat & Fade)* Stuck in the past, they cant let go, Blocking the future, afraid to grow. Traditions their banner, but the cracks are wide, The world moves forward, they cant stop the tide.
