Money Is Tight
words and music by Jayson Dyall 2022
Money is tight, I've got the poor man's blues
Money is tight, even got holes in my shoes
Bills are piling up and my rent is now past due
I am not one, to beg, borrow or steal
But its been so long, I've had a hearty meal
I don't know why I was handed this lousy deal
There was a time, I was up high, on top of the world
A steady job, a fancy car, and a beautiful girl
Then I was laid off, the car got repo'd and my girl walked away
I feel I'm stuck, with this bad luck, it's getting worse day to day
Must have holes in my pocket, cause my money's all spent
Must have holes in my pocket, missing those dollars and cents
The way things are going soon I'll be living in a tent
Break
There was a time, I was up high, on top of the world
A steady job, a fancy car, and a beautiful girl
Then I was laid off, the car got repo'd and my girl walked away
I feel I'm stuck, with this bad luck, it's getting worse day to day
Money is tight, I've got the poor man's blues
Money is tight, even got holes in my shoes
But when you ain't got nothing, you got nothing else to lose
But when you ain't got nothing, you got nothing else to lose
But when you ain't got nothing, you got nothing else to lose
Break to end
