The Desert Calls Me Home
This place is sere
Water is rare
If you come
You must take care
You take your life
In your own hands
Visiting
These barren lands
But the desert
Calls me home
However far
From her I roam
The boundless views
And star filled skies
Always fill
My awestruck eyes
The scorpions and
The rattlesnakes
They all have
Their own place
And even me
When I escape
The troubles of
The great rat race
But the desert
Calls me home
However far
From her I roam
The boundless views
And star filled skies
Always fill
My awestruck eyes
Dont care how the wind blows
Its heaven here for me
Each sunrise and sunset
Feels like poetry
So every chance I can
Ill be living wild and free
Yes the desert
Calls me home
However far
From her I roam
The boundless views
And star filled skies
Always fill
My awestruck eyes
They always fill
My awestruck eyes
