Story behind the song
The current release 'JESUS IS LORD' is the 9th release from the HOLY NATION 12 song compilation! The song, 'JESUS IS LORD', is the 9th release from the HOLY NATION 12 song compilation! The lyrics are basically sharing about the truth that declares Jesus is LORD, and He is above all in name, Power, and rank of authority, in Heaven and Earth. James wrote this to Believers who were professing that they had faith in Jesus as their Savior and LORD over their lives, but were showing partiality, favoritism, and unfruitful works of self-righteousness toward others. It is according to James 2:14-20: James 2:14-20(NLT), "...What good is it, dear Brothers and Sisters, if you say you have faith but don't show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? Suppose you see a Brother or Sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well but then you don't give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? So you see, faith by itself isn't enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. Now someone may argue, Some people have faith; others have good deeds. But I say, How can you show me your faith if you don't have good deeds?" I will show you my faith by my good deeds. You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one GOD. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. How foolish! Cant you see that faith without good deeds is useless?" Also, in correlation to James instructing professing Believers to graduate their level of faith into Christ-likeness by becoming more loving, merciful, kind, tender-hearted, impartial and without favoritism, in their dealings with fellow Believers, Apostle Paul reveals how to rightfully discern the difference between those who wholeheartedly profess Jesus as LORD of their lives, under the inspiration and leading of the Holy Ghost versus those who claims Jesus is their LORD in lip service only. It is written according to 1 Corinthians 12:3: 1 Corinthians 12:3 reveals Apostle Paul declaring, "...I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of GOD will curse Jesus, and no one can say Jesus is LORD, except by the Holy Ghost." In addition, according to Philippians 2:5-11(NKJV), Apostle Paul instructed those of us who are in the service of The LORD, "...Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of GOD, did not consider it robbery to be equal with GOD, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of The Cross. Therefore GOD also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in Heaven, and of those on Earth, and of those under the Earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of GOD The FATHER...." Additional Scripture references for the "JESUS IS LORD" song are primarily based upon Matthew 24:2-14, 1 Corinthians 12:3, Philippians 2:5-11, Revelation 11:15... 1 Corinthians 15:58, "...Therefore, Brothers and Sisters in Christ, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of The LORD, knowing that your labor is not in vain in The LORD." Philippians 1:6(NLT), "...And I am certain that GOD, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." In the service of LORD Jesus, Rosa Appling-Banks, Acts 26:18
