Story behind the song
A few years ago, I was in Boston, and just digging a nice late September day while visiting a place I used to work. Just a story about a great walk in the afternoon. The music is a combo of a solid drum and bass beat and 60's British-American influenced rock (I call this style mod groove). I started improvising the chords on a drum beat I created in Reason, and added a low and high bass guitar (my short scale epi sg), some organ, and my Ibanez solid body through my JC120 and my waza craft delay plus my REJ Project Modified Blues driver. Just a light fun song to maybe brighten someone's day in these pretty rough times. Most things were first takes.
Lyrics
Walking the streets nothing to prove Just digging the scene get in the groove Feeling alright so out of sight Feeling alright may if I might Checking the scene making my way Just walking along digging the day Feeling alright so out of sight Feeling alright may if I might Now what is this I see As I walk the path Ive no time but Got to make it last Grabbing the train Im a bit confused A pleasant abide Ive nothing to lose Feeling alright so out of sight Feeling alright may if I might
