Lyrics
Before Another Day Goes By
Those years slipped away from me
It’s just so hard to believe
Our baby’s all grown up and graduating.
Looking back when you were young
So many things I could have done
I always thought there’d be plenty of time.
But now those days are gone
Somehow I let them race along
All that’s left are memories and photographs.
In looking back it’s clear
We just can’t waste another year
We’ve got to take the time to know each other.
(chorus)
Before another day goes by
I want to hold you in my arms
And tell you that I love you.
Did I ever say how proud I am
Or how much it means to me
To have a son like you.
Now when you’re on your own
When you’re gone and away from home
Try and think about those precious moments.
A fathers love goes deep
I hope that you will always keep
A place and time that we can share together.
(bridge)
Don’t let time just slip away say the things you want to say
You’ve grown into the man that you are today.
(repeat chorus)
