Tears With the Moon

Lightening shot arrows to pierce the night
and the clouds hung heavy in the sky
they couldn't hold back and down it came
the anger, the cold and the stinging rain
In the green meadow, the tempest raged
while a lover's passion began to fade
they held on 'til her heart finally broke
and she floated away like wisps of smoke
the clouds are spent the stars appear in the calm after the monsoon
the lover arrives with a storm inside and she shares her tears with the moon
she straightens her dress in the shining sun
and he smiles and says she's the prettiest one
but the days turn to shadows and begin to dim
and she's floating away in the storm once again
the clouds are spent the stars appear in the calm after the monsoon
the lover arrives with a storm inside and she shares her tears with the moon
