A typical blues tune. More or less.
Straightforward I-IV-V blues, but some odd timings here and there. I had the intro and most of the first verse for ages, but could never think of a line to finish the verse. Eventually I did, then wrote the remaining verses very quickly. A different guitar is used for each section. Recorded and mixed in Cubase, except for the vocals which were done with the TASCAM DP-32SD and transferred over. Instruments used:
Drums - Band In A Box
Bass - 1978 Fender Jazz
Rhythm - Epiphone Casino
Intro lead - Fender Stratocaster (Mexican)
Middle lead - Gibson Les Paul Traditional
Outro lead - Fender Jag-stang (Japanese)
Vocals processed with Melodyne

Ive Been Down So Long
Ive been down so long
You know it looks like up to me
Ive been down so long
You know it looks like up to me
Ive been down so long
There ain't no lower left to be
Well everything's so wrong
I guess it must be right for me
Yes, everything's so wrong
I guess it must be right for me
Now everything's so wrong
It has to be my destiny
I done lost my woman
You know she walked right out on me
I don't have no woman
Because she walked right out on me
When I lost my woman
She said oh lord at last she's free
Ive been down so long
You know it looks like up to me
Ive been down so long
You know it looks like up to me
Ive been down so long
There ain't no lower left to be
I've been down so long
There ain't no lower left to be
