Liszt's Study No 5. Please NOTE - this is ME playing. I know it sounds ok for me! so I haven't lifted it from some professional. It was the 7th attempt.
Story behind the song
I learned this as part of my training. Liszt gives some good lessons including (in this study) finger independence. It took over a year to get it to this standard. I don't like to use too much pedal as that kills off the lightness and spirit of the thing. (It also makes lounge playing a great deal easier once your hands are loosened up.
