In the allegro section vocals are introduced singing the mantra om-mane-padme-om while the multi-layered percussion section keeps the fast past constant. The bass and baritone sax battle it out. Who is right? Who is wrong? Here, the orchestral strings dramatically change the ambiance. I call them the dark strings. A storm is brewing. The tempo is faster here. The character of the dark strings sounds a warning of an eminent threat representing the presence of ominous dark rolling clouds covering all in its path. The higher strings stresses urgency with rapidly moving passages set against the dark strings.
Suddenly and without warning, clouds roll back and the sun beams as brightly as it had shown in the beginning of the piece. All is at peace as the gong sounds its last note at the end.
