Story behind the song
The Texas Ranger In 1823 Stephen F. Austin hired ten men “to act as rangers for the common defense” in protecting his colonists from Indian raids. Nearly two centuries later, that group—known as the Texas Rangers—is alive and well, having adapted from being frontier lawmen to an elite investigative force, trading their horses and bedrolls for cell phones and laptops. For the 117 men, and 1 woman, who now make up the Texas Rangers, a typical day looks more like CSI than The Lone Ranger. They have cracked many of the state’s most notorious criminal cases, having succeeded in tracking down serial killers, nabbing drug lords, coaxing confessions from rapists and murderers, and bringing corrupt public servants to account.

Starts with a gentle, sparkling synth, then the trademark MD drums storm in and BAM we're off on a high adrenaline thrill ride! Hi speed action all the way on this great theme tune. Perfectly done sir!
So much tension the way that riff raises higher and higher. And then that first solo explodes. Michael you were "the man" in this challenge for certain. Killer track!

Not only have I heard a brilliant song, but I've also learned the origins of the Texas Rangers - thanks MD! Wow, this is one very powerful track, brilliant cowboy/rocking powerhouse piece of music. Excellent arrangement and production. Amazed how you keep coming up with these ideas.
