Story behind the song
About the time I was going through some depression, I got down on myself and my songwriting. I came up with the term "Kind of Mediocrity", which it turns out, isn't that unique after all. A Google search revealed it had been used many times.
Re-using it was just another mediocre move, and it worked with the concept of the song.
Anyway, I had a rock-a-billy concept for the musical approach, and here it is. Nothing spectacular. Exceptionally mediocre. But...isn't that the point?
