Visions of the LORD from Ezekiel 1 and Revelation 5
The first verse comes from the first chapter of Ezekiel, the prophet's vision of God and His glory. The second verse is from the fifth chapter of Revelation, the vision of John. Both the prophet and the apostle, the old and the new, were given a glimpse into the glory of the LORD.
Verse 1
I saw the Lord in a blinding light
Descending in clouds from the sky;
I saw the Lord, I saw the Lord.
Lightning and wind like I’ve never seen;
Angels above me spreading their wings
Praising the Lord, praising the Lord:
“Holy! Holy! Holy! Holy!
Great is the Living God of All!”
Verse 2
I saw the Lamb standing at the throne
Before all the elders holding a scroll;
I saw the Lamb, I saw the Lamb.
The angels, they sang like a mighty throng:
Millions of angels sang Him a song
Praising the Lamb, Praising the Lamb:
“Holy! Worthy! Honor! Glory!
Great is the Living Lamb of God!”
Chorus
I saw the Lord and He walked with me down the streets of gold!
I saw the Lord and He’s a Solid Rock!
I saw the Lord and He walked with me down the streets of gold!
I saw the Lord and He’s a Solid Rock!
Repeat Verse 2
Repeat Chorus
