Story behind the song
Derek was actually in the middle of writing a pop ballad when this instrumental was forwarded to him around 2 am. After listening to the track, he immediately began to write and then recorded this demo on a head mic in his living room. The lyrics were inspired by a sexual drought he'd experienced during a previous relationship. The song was released to YouTube the following day and became an instant fan favorite.
