A twisted love song; so to speak.
Nick composed the music first, with the initial line during the verses, "Jim Jones, Roll The Bones". Later on one drunk and desparate evening, the idiot laid down the vocal track spontaneously creating lyrics on the fly. The Idiot recalls, "I remember feeling a bit insecure with this song since I didn't have any solid lyrics. When Nick left for 10 minutes to walk his dog, Lobo, I hit record and laid the vocal track down in one take".
Jim Jones, where're you blowin? In the can, they all decided.
Jim Jones, can they find your bones? Can they finally light it? Jim Jones where're your chosen ones? Can they get excited? Jim Jones where are your frozen bones? Can you keep them divided? I can't decide it (why I am divided). Wanted to find it... Who decides it? You? Well...huh, All the nights I waited for you up by the phone...couldn't see you home.
The Idiot in me is trying to cry...so passively defining; wading through waters still, residing where waterfalls fall down.
Jim Jones, where are your bones? Did they all remind you? Jim Jones, where're your clones? Did they ever mime you? Jime Jones where're your frozen ones? Can they ever merch you? Jim Jones, all the frozen ones, can they ever hurt you?
I remember when I was so young; making music for me was so fun...all the words and wars in my mind...trying to find the people alone.
