I wrote this song a long time a ago about my two older brothers who died in 1979, and 1980. In the photograph here, Jimmy's the one sitting with the white shirt, Stevie's getting up.
My friend, Terri says that this song reminds her of back when Stevie and her oldest son , Gerald (Butchie) Grauer, ( AKA Jerry Long) were alive.
"Hi Joe , Just wanted to say I went to see Steve and my son Jerry today. Just to make sure they know I care." They are buried in the same graveyard in Connecticut.
A long time ago, I remember, I remember
The things we were doing we were kids, we were kids
What I wouldn't give to have you back with me right now
And show you everything you missed
The years have left me helpless, there were demons, there were demons
Almost brought me to your side, to your side
We were all so young when you had to go and die
No-one should try suicide
(repeat first verse)
