Story behind the song
A celebration of all those great open ended Southern Rockers of the 60's 70's & 80's. the arrangement consists of 2 drummers (whistling their breaks to the band), 2 bassists, a B3 organ, and 6 guitars locked in blazing rhythm chops and solo harmonies. Mike Bennett came up with the chords and arrangement. I picked the pace, and programed the drum & bass tracks then started layering on rhythm tracks with my Carvin acoustic & solid body electrics. After sending the backing to Mike he grabbed two of his Strats and added some more rhythm chops and a classic solo with each from start to finish. and for a nice touch Mike also did some B3 organ chords using his Akai MPK-49 for the ending section. I then added guitar harmonies, counterpoints, and coda solos to round out the mayhem. Thanks for the inspiration and classic Southern soloing Mike! You can check out Mikes other great tunes here

Really great guitar pick'n! Sounds like you boys were very busy with those axes. I like the semi-soft landing and fade on the end of this. Pretty cool idea! An excellent recording.

Woah, this really is the real thing. How the hell did you get this together in the short time we all had. This a lesson in how to do it. This is utterly awesome my friends. I'm humbled.
Mike and Mike, You got this one just right! From start to end it just pleases the soul with rockin' bliss. And the title of the tune is also perfect. "Southern Fried Noodles" - Yum Yum - like your song with par excelence guitars/drum beat/flavor. Thanks for the outstanding CBC Southern Rock song contribution - and for the download of this exceptional tune for our JBBQ Music Player on SoundClick. Bob (and the JBBQ "Guys") PS. When I first saw the title, I thought you had formed a new duo with the name of SOUTHERN FRIED NOODLES - ha ha/lol - but not such a bad idea?

Stellar combined performances, mind boggling talent on display here. Clear, powerful, beautiful tones, melting melodies playing off each other, free wheeling yet concise attacks. All within the context of a hard driving, pure, so. rock vibe. I say this too often about the work of you both but can't resist.......yes, EPIC!!!!!
