Story behind the song
That last metal "hit" left a bad taste in my mouth - so, get out the hanky, and let 'er rip.
Heading back to a place, where I used to be.
To the left what was this? something new to see.
Past the tree, through the vines; there was just one way.
So I went down the path, hoping I could stay.
Then light did fade, and time it took so long.
The days they seemed, like notes put in a song.
I felt no end, to happiness I'd feel.
Next came the end, and wondering was it real?
50 years has come and gone, since that special day.
I don't look for the path, it didn't go away.
I'ts right there, to your left, if you'd only see.
Only takes just one step, so what will it be?
