Every so often I look down again, and I'll turn the page Most people don't even notice the change I sit and I watch them as they're drinking down a dollar and change and maybe a tip if it's been a good day and I'm watching lives intertwining this way we're all putting off something we'd rather not do anyway Expressionless faces that we wear like masks but we're all the same a moment of solitude laced with a hint of delay as I turn a page In times of frustration, it's solace we seek but time after time the hardest of struggles are never defined It's these tranquil moments we desperately need for our state of mind when simple solutions are so hard to find
