This song is a rewrite from 2005. That was a period in my life where I was primarily leaving secular song writing behind to focus more on Christian songwriting. Many of my friends at the time were saying that it sounded good and all, but could n't I go back to writing more secular stuff again. This song was a response to those critisisms, in that I was going to continue to serve our Lord.
Lonely Road
Words and music by Michael Hanson
Verse 1:
I walk this lonely road for you
I’m on this earth to find the truth.
Sometimes I feel so all alone.
It’s such a narrow winding road.
Chorus:
Some people are turning away.
Here in your arms I will stay.
I’ll keep on swimming in the sea of faith………..th.
Verse 2:
I walk this old dirt road for you.
This road is traveled by so few.
Some times I wander off this road.
Some times this world is oh so cold.
Chorus:
Some people are turning away.
One thing I thing I think I should say.
I’ll keep on swimming in this sea of faith.
Verse 3:
I walk this lonely road for you.
I’m going to wear this old brown shoe.
I need a lamp to light my way.
I’ll keep on living this life of faith.

Outre:
