Red Note is comprised of stickist Joshua Runion, who started off being “forced” to play bass by his neighborshortly thereafter finding that music made him happyand like so many other musicians, found himself addicted. Runion began playing the Chapman stick in 1998. After many years of a continuous struggle between the bass and the Stick, the Stick defeated the bass and now the bass lies in a corner sulking. Runion formed a jazz-fusion group with the same name (Red Note) until it became apparent that the other musicians’ life circumstances would not allow them to continue. Joshua kept the Red Note name as a solo artist.
