Story behind the song
First beat I made after getting out of CFCF in Philly. Visiting my Sister in Brooklyn. I would then go on to visit my Brother in D.C. already registered to run the Marine Corps Marathon. 3hrs 48mins. #poetlife
My instrumentals are placeholders. The titles, ALL of them books/beats/songs, etc come in dreams. First book of poetry was comprised by waking up writing the title down. Then some time in the day writing the poem. I made the instrumentals hoping I'd live long enough to get back to them one day. To record the mature mind.
