Story behind the song
Llevo casi veinte anos escribiendo musica, tanto para mi como para otros musicos. A lo largo de este tiempo, he trabajado con bastantes musicos. He conocido a excelentes personas, gente con gran talento; de ellos he aprendido mucho, y tambien he tenido grandes satisfacciones. Despues de algun tiempo sin publicar nada de mi puno y letra, esta es sin duda una ocasion muy especial, sin desmerecer nada de lo anterior, desde luego.
Vereis: hace ya tiempo estaba pensando en realizar una adaptacion vocal de un tema anterior, titulado Last Night With You, que quiza conozcais. El proyecto fue abandonado por un tiempo, debido a que este tema precisaba una voz especial. Una voz que se adaptara a su melodia.
Hace poco, mi amigo Phil, de Sucrepop, me hablo de Nathalie, vocalista francesa que ya habia colaborado con el en varias ocasiones, y desde hace ya varios anos (merci beaucoup, Phil). Escuche su voz, y me quede impresionado por su calidad y personalidad... Phil me puso en contacto con ella, mientras yo cruzaba los dedos. Tuve la suerte de que Nathalie se intereso por el tema, de modo que le envie la letra que habia escrito para la cancion. Pienso que "Last Night With You", en su version vocal, es una pieza dificil de cantar, a mi modo de ver, pero Nathalie tiene una excelente tecnica, y hace facil lo dificil. Espero seguir colaborando con ella...
