Life is a circus
based on a poem. And again, metaphorically representational of the 'triangular' relationship.
Juggling lives like a circus clown
Tempting to swim, but she feels more like drowning
Walking the wire without looking down
Tumbling like Jack, with his broken crown
Standing in the middle she's the ringmaster
Hoping her act won't end in disaster
Spinning in circles faster and faster
She leads a white horse
to an imaginary pasture
*Opening the curtain to the side show
Reading the words of the infamous Mister Poe
Chattering stupidly, her face all aglow
When the audience applauds
her tears start to fall
She's riding bareback without holding on
she's a caged bird who sings at the dawn
The queen is sad cuz she's lost her pawn
The heart is swept clean
and the memory is gone
*Opening the curtain to the side show
Reading the words of the infamous Mister Poe
Chattering stupidly, her face all aglow
When the audience applauds
her tears start to fall
